This is 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Grigio and an astute enophile could probably have guessed that. The color is very light, closer to a Pinot Grigio than to most Chardonnays. The scent and flavor are dominated more by the Chardonnay, with a hint of oak on the nose and some stronger fruit flavors. It has a lightweight feel in your mouth and some astringency on the finish that are more typical of Pinot Grigio. So, it is a blend and it tastes like it, shocker…sorry to waste your time on all that. Overall, it’s pretty decent but a bit overpriced I think.
