Perhaps this wine is past its prime, I didn't notice until now that it is 6 years old. For a dry white wine, that's probably pushing it. It doesn't necessarily smell or even taste much like it has gone bad, but it ain't good. The tartness of the wine is assaulting and the other smells and flavors are just...off. Best avoided.
