Name: Cancao
Type: White
Grape: Blend
Origin: Brazil
Year: Non-vintage
Producer: Antonio Basso & Filhos
Price: $3.50

This is an adventure. This is one of, if not the cheapest wine I’ve tried thus far. It was $4.59 a bottle marked down to 2 for $7. I got a red and a white, both non-vintage and from Brazil. It’s a blend of a variety of white grapes and is just labeled as white table wine. The smell of it is unappetizing, like wild grapes that are turning bad. The flavor isn’t bad though. At this price point you don’t expect much complexity and you don’t get it. The flavor is very sweet, bordering on dessert wine, and that’s pretty much it. Very direct, no finish to speak of, with a bit of that wild grape flavor. It’s not horrible, just hold your nose when you drink it.
