As any regular reader knows, I don't have a great love of French wines. I don't know why, I just don't. So I approach most French bottles with trepidation. This one has a brick red color and an aroma of ripe fruit and black pepper. The flavor is dry, spicy and somewhat astringent. It tastes pretty good overall and the finish lingers, though the finish turns a little medicinal at the very end.
