Name: Banrock Station Type: Red Grape: Shiraz Origin: Australia Year: 2003 Producer: Banrock Station Wines Price: $5.00 Another in my series of Banrock Station wines, this one has a medium-deep purple hue and smells like glue. Specifically, it smells (mildly) like the glue they use to install parquet hardwood flooring. I recently renovated an apartment, that’s how I know that…if you were wondering. Not unpleasant, just a bit odd. The flavors are mildly fruity at first, then they culminate in a medium-long but mouth-watering finish. It is fairly smooth and most folks would like it, though there are better options at the same price. |
