The nose is ok, a little dark fruit and pepper. The flavor is not ok. It’s mild at first but as it matures on the palate it bursts into spice and acidity, followed quickly by some heavy-handed tannins and a subtle flavor that seems to indicate that the wine is about to go bad. Like a bit of corkiness or something. There’s a lot going on in the flavor, but it’s a clumsy tasting wine overall.
