I violated the first rule of Sideways and tasted the Banrock Station merlot. And “BOOO!!” to that movie for driving up the price of Pinot Noir, worse than it already was. Why couldn’t they have reversed it and glorified Merlot, which is in relatively plentiful supply?? Anyhoo, this one has an aroma of berries and a tart, medium-long finish. It’s a decent choice in cheap merlot, Kramer would approve.
