Smells like alcohol and pepper. Tastes a little thin at first and then has a strong spicy flavor as it matures on the palate. It seems pretty unbalanced to me, not all that interesting and not terribly enjoyable. It sort of tastes like port but without the sweetness, which makes sense given its origin. I can’t read the label well enough to be certain that it is a blend of grapes, but I don’t see any names of grapes on the bottle that I can identify so we’ll call it a blend.
