A blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon with a nice little story explaining the name on the back of the bottle. It has a potent aroma of berry, salted pork and what I might call "old boot" to reflect a mildly stanky leather aroma. The flavor is good, fruit forward and a bit tart with a medium finish. The bottle boasts many awards that the wine has won and I can see that. It is a tasty, crowd-pleasing sort of wine.
