Name: Muscat de Beaulieu
Type: White
Grape: Muscat
Origin: U.S. - California
Year: Non-vintage
Producer: Beaulieu Vineyard
Price: $8.99

This is a cheap dessert wine that I found at the corner store. I usually don't find dessert wine of any sort for less than $10 a bottle, and by "bottle" I mean one of those 375ml jobs. This one caught my eye at $8.99. And what you get for that kind of money is a servicable dessert wine. It isn't fantastic by any stretch, but it doesn't taste like a Wal-mart wine, which for a dessert wine it clearly is. It has the typical aroma of honeyed apricots and a sweet, slightly syrupy flavor that shows its high alcohol content on the long-ish finish.
