I got these two for $10, a Merlot and a Chardonnay, at the corner store. I’ve been roundly unimpressed with the wine I’ve gotten there so far; this should be interesting. The smell is pretty good, it has a sweet smell and I want to say I detect a hint of banana, which is out of the ordinary. The flavor is less impressive, a little fruit and acidity up front but it has a real taste of tobacco, particularly on the finish. Not bad for five bucks, I’m just not a fan of my wine tasting like a cigarette.
