Smells kind of like paint. Not really bad but the aroma isn’t what I expected. Luckily, the flavor is better until you get to the finish. The tannins are powerful on the finish. You know when you eat a popsicle and you keep chewing on the stick after the popsicle is gone? You know how that flavor gets very sticky in your mouth? That’s the finish on this wine and the definition of powerful tannins. It’s not a bad wine, just sort of a one-trick pony.
