This wine smells incredible, like ripe pears, oak and a bit of vanilla. It’s truly mouth-watering. It tastes great too, it’s very smooth, somewhat sweet and slightly spicy. The spices intensify on the medium finish. This is the second Firefly wine I’ve tried, the other was a night harvest Shiraz and it was equally excellent. In fact, I bought a second bottle of it to have on hand, which I rarely do because I like to review all different sorts of wine. Must be something about harvesting at night…whatever the case is, you owe it to yourself to give the label a try.
